Bike Cleats Compatible with Shimano SPD SM-SH51 — Single Release MTB Pedals
20+ bought in past monthAbout This Item

Cleats wear down. When the plastic gets slick and you're fighting to unclip at a stop sign or on a descent, it's time to swap them out — and it doesn't need to cost $25+ at the bike shop.

These are direct-fit replacements for Shimano SPD SM-SH51 single-release pedal systems, used on mountain bikes, touring bikes, hybrid bikes, and commuter setups worldwide. Single-release design means you clip out straight back — the standard choice for trail riding, commuting, and all-day use.

Compatible pedals

Works with any pedal using the Shimano SPD 2-bolt cleat standard, including:

Shimano PD-A530, PD-A520, PD-ED500, PD-EH500, PD-EF205, PD-M520, PD-M540, PD-M505, PD-M324, PD-M530, PD-T780, PD-T8000, and all other Shimano SPD 2-bolt compatible pedals.

Also compatible with third-party SPD pedals from Wellgo and others using the 2-bolt SPD standard.

Not compatible with: Shimano SPD-SL (3-bolt road), Look Keo, or Time road cleat systems.

What's in the box

2× SPD SM-SH51 compatible single-release cleats

4× M5 mounting bolts

2× cleat nut plates

Installation

Use a 4mm Allen key to attach cleats to the sole of your cycling shoes. Position with the shoe's 2-bolt cleat slot, tighten to 5–6 Nm, and adjust fore/aft position and float angle to your riding preference. Break in on a short ride before your next long one.

Fresh cleats clip in clean and release clean. If yours are sticking or slipping, this is the fix.
